INTRODUCING ME

“It was books that made me feel

I was not completely alone.”

Will Herondale, Clockwork Prince

I’ve finally done it! I’m now starting my own book blog! And this is my pilot post that’s ready to fly off!

For the past years, I’ve always been dreaming of wanting to start my own book blog. I’ve been inspired with the book bloggers I follow on Tumblr and the book vloggers in Youtube that I adore. But I could never have the encourage to commit to such task, especially when I’m still in school with a heavy workload. I actually tried to do a review blog once before using Tumblr where I reviewed New Adult books. I think that blog only lasted for a month or two before I just didn’t have the time and energy to do so anymore. And that’s actually really disappointing, because I’m doing two things I love the most – reading and writing. So I’m hoping and praying that I stick to this, and that it would help me keep my mind busy, especially now that I’m going to experience a 5-month break after this week.

First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Angele. It’s pronounced as Angelie, but there’s no “i” in my name. I have such a unique name that people can’t pronounce it properly, and Starbucks can never get my name right on my cup unless they ask me to spell it for them. I’m 20 turning 21 years old in May, and I live in the Philippines. I’m about to finish my undergraduate degree in Biology, and I’m going to wear my graduation toga in June. As for that 5-month break I mentioned earlier, I’m applying to medical schools here, and now in the process of waiting for some acceptance letters so I could go back to school in August or September. To what I’ll be doing in that long period of idleness, I still do not know. I’m an introvert, I only have a very close set of friends who I heavily rely on, and as much as I prefer to stay at home, I also like going out from time to time – just so that I could have my mind and body moving apart from lying in bed the whole day. I have 6 dogs (yes, 6 dogs) who are all rascals but I love them dearly. I’m not a fan of frogs and snails gross me out.

As for being on social media, I’m a huge huge fan of Tumblr! Tumblr is life! If you need to contact me, you better send me a question there first, since I don’t usually go on Twitter and Instagram, and Facebook is just for school stuff. I love Tumblr a lot because it’s the place where I can’t see any drama and bad stuff going on with the world. Tumblr is my baby. Tumblr is the place where I can be me and rant all I want. Tumblr is also the place where I post all my graphics and works. Tumblr appreciates me and everyone else like me.

Now this post is getting a bit too long, so I’m still deciding on doing a weekly About Me post or just make an About Me section. I’ll let you all know soon!

I can’t wait to meet all of you!
