Mid Year Freak Out Book Tag

It’s halfway through the year already, and it’s been a really good year so far for me – especially with my reading! I’m 60 books out of my 90-book goal in Goodreads, and I hope to exceed that number before the year ends!

I saw this tag through The Little Booknerds in the Corner and then I thought, why not do this? I haven’t done any tag posts here on my blog yet, and I would love to start one now! 1.Best book you’ve read so far in 2017

This is a really hard one for me, but I’ll list down my top 3 so far. These are A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas, Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare, and The Bronze Horseman by Paullina Simons. 

2. Best sequel you’ve read so far in 2017

I can’t choose between ACOWAR and Inferno and Mafiosa by Catherine Doyle.

3. New release you haven’t read yet, but want to

I actually haven’t read a lot of new releases this year, but I’m definitely going for Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor and Caraval by Stephanie Garber. I really want to read them, but I don’t know when! *insert crying here*

4. Most anticipated release for the second half of the year

Lovers Like Us by Krista and Becca Ritchie! I love how we’re going to get the second book so soon in October when Damaged Like Us was just released last June!

5. Biggest disappointment

Blood Rose Rebellion by Rosalyn Eves.

6. Biggest surprise

The Ruthless People Series by J.J. McAvoy. I never expected this series to consume me until the end.

7. Favourite new author (Debut or new to you)

Tricia Levenseller and Mary E. Pearson.

8. Newest fictional crush

Luca Falcone from the Blood For Blood series and Liam Callahan from The Ruthless People series! *swoons*

9. Newest favourite character

Melody Giovanni Callahan from The Ruthless People series. She’s my new spirit animal.

10. Book that made you cry

Oh dear. These will be ACOWAR, Lord of Shadows, A Bloody Kingdom, and Damaged Like Us.

11. Book that made you happy

My Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Jodi Meadows, and Brodi Ashton! I love how it made me laugh a lot of times.

12. Favourite book to film adaptation you saw this year

Probably Me Before You. I don’t watch a lot of book to movie adaptations, and I liked how Me Before You at least stuck to the plot of the story. I’m giving it 3.5/5 stars.

13. Favourite review you’ve written this year

14. Most beautiful book you’ve bought so far this year (or received)

I love love the covers of A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray, and A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab,

15. What books do you need to read by the end of the year

I need to read all the books that has been sitting on my shelf for a long time! I have a really massive TBR pile. But I want to finish The Bronze Horseman trilogy and the A Darker Shade of Magic trilogy before the year ends.
