Review Policy

It is always an honor for me to be able to write reviews for books, especially for self-published and starting authors. I know the effort and courage it takes to complete writing a novel, but it’s a totally different thing to get a reader’s response to it – so I am here to help. Currently, I accept .epub and .mobi e-copies of finished books or ARCs, but I would also accept physical formats, if the author/publisher is willing to shoulder the cost of an international shipping towards the Philippines (as this could be expensive).

I post my reviews here on my blog, goodreads, and bookstagram. Unfortunately, I cannot give Amazon ratings right now, since my personal account has not met the requirements Amazon needs to be able to post a detailed review (as we also do not have Amazon here in my country.)

All reviews will be completely truthful. I will explain on my review on why I liked or did not like a particular book. I always guarantee to write an honest and concise review for any book I accept for reviewing, and will do my best to publish my book review within a month after receiving a copy of the book.

Please also do understand that I am still human, and have other things that require my attention. I always make an effort to read and put out book reviews whenever I can.

I normally books from any age group, but here are the genres I often accept for reviews:

  • fantasy (any subgenre)
  • historical fiction
  • romance
  • science fiction
  • contemporary
  • mystery/suspense thrillers

While the following are the genres I don’t accept reviews for: horror, non-fiction

I will be following a structure for every book I review.

  • Cover Art
  • Book’s Synopsis
  • My detailed review
  • Star Rating
  • Author Profile
  • Links (if available)

My star ratings will follow the format Goodreads use

  • ★★★★★ [5/5] = I love it and would recommend it to everyone
  • ★★★★☆ [4/5] = amazing but with a few problems
  • ★★★☆☆ [3/5] = it was okay. Not great, but not awful either. It had an average enjoyment factor for me.
  • ★★☆☆☆ [2/5] = mostly awful, but with a tiny few stuff I enjoyed
  • ★☆☆☆☆ [1/5] = it was horrible, did not enjoy at all

I will also give .5 ratings (4.5, 3.5, 2.5, 1.5)
